Taylor-Davis celebrates a milestone in bringing active adult living to Rockwall County.

Taylor-Davis Interests recently joined project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Del Webb section at Sonoma Verde North. The event marks an exciting step in the continued growth of Sonoma Verde and the realization of a vision years in the making.

Located north of the existing community across Edwards Road, Sonoma Verde North will introduce Del Webb’s signature 55+ lifestyle to the eastern side of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. For Taylor-Davis Principals Spencer Taylor and Stephen Davis, the groundbreaking represents both meaningful progress and the collaboration required to bring a new neighborhood to life.

A Community Designed for Connection

The Del Webb neighborhood will offer residents opportunities to stay active, explore their interests, and build lasting friendships close to home.

Planned amenities include a resort-style pool, walking and biking trails, pickleball courts, and a clubhouse with a fitness center, movement studio, and spaces for games and art. An on-site Lifestyle Director will help bring residents together through programming and activities.

These gathering places will help shape the daily experience of the neighborhood—from a morning workout to an afternoon on the courts or time spent catching up with neighbors.

Years of Planning Behind the Milestone

The groundbreaking follows extensive work on entitlements, utility engineering, infrastructure coordination, and public approvals.

Taylor-Davis is overseeing major offsite infrastructure improvements to support the expansion, while Pulte Homes will develop the residential neighborhoods. Bringing those efforts together requires coordination among development teams, public agencies, engineers, and community partners.

The celebration provided an opportunity to recognize that shared effort and the people who helped move the project from planning to this milestone.

Looking Ahead

As work advances, Sonoma Verde North will add a new way to call Sonoma Verde home, expanding the community’s appeal to buyers seeking an active adult lifestyle in Rockwall County.

Taylor-Davis thanks Pulte Homes and Del Webb, the City of McLendon-Chisholm, and the many project partners whose expertise and commitment helped make this groundbreaking possible.

We look forward to sharing more updates as this next chapter of Sonoma Verde takes shape.
