Exciting progress is officially underway at Sonoma Verde North, the newest expansion of the Sonoma Verde master‑planned community in Rockwall County. Following years of planning, entitlement work, and infrastructure coordination, construction activity is now in motion—marking a major milestone for both Del Webb and Pulte Homes and reinforcing Sonoma Verde’s position as one of the most dynamic communities in the region.
A New Chapter for Sonoma Verde
Sonoma Verde North sits on approximately 315 acres directly north of the existing Sonoma Verde community, across Edwards Road. The project represents a significant expansion of the master plan and introduces two highly respected residential brands—Del Webb and Pulte Homes—to this next phase of growth.
The community is planned for 698 total homesites, including:
577 Del Webb active adult homes designed for the 55+ lifestyle on a mix of 50’ and 65’ lots
121 traditional single‑family homes built under the Pulte Homes brand on 60’ lots
This expansion also marks an important milestone for Del Webb, as Sonoma Verde North will be the first Del Webb active adult community on the east side of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and only the fourth Del Webb community in DFW.
Construction Progress: Utilities and Site Work Moving Forward

Development activity at Sonoma Verde North is well underway, with visible progress across the site:
Utility installation is currently in progress and estimated for early-April completion, laying the groundwork for home construction in the coming months
Grand Opening of the Del Webb model homes is planned for Q1 2027, giving future residents an early look at the lifestyle and home designs coming to Sonoma Verde North
On the Pulte Homes side of the community:
Excavation work is nearing completion and paving is planned for April 2026
The Pulte model home is anticipated to deliver in late 2026
These milestones reflect months of coordinated planning and infrastructure work and represent a major step forward in bringing this new neighborhood to life.
